Our Vow to you:
*Being in SiN you are an equal to all members and will be treated that way.
*If you have something to say, SiN will listen.
*If you have a question, then SiN will answer.
*SiN will be loyal and true to your name as you uphold ours.
*SiN will provide as much support to you and your goals as a gamer as possible.
Your Vow to us:
*I vow I will be an active part of SiN, whether it be in a tournament, games, clan meetings, and or the clan site.
*I vow to treat my fellow SiN members fairly and as equals.
*I vow to maintain contact with SiN even if only through the website.
*I vow to follow all the rules of SiN.
*I vow to play with the clan when I log in.
*I vow to at least log in on the site & at the very minimum, vote for the site on the Ranking Sites.
*I vow to, above all else, have FUN.
Rules:
Yes, even in SiN there are rules, otherwise we would be named Chaos and NO that ISN'T AN OPTION. The rules are meant as guidelines and will maintain balance and keep things peaceful amongst members and allies.
Here are the rules actually spelled out. If you have trouble with spelling, go back for that GED or ask for help. Of course you wouldn't be reading this anyway, so what an exercise in futility this has all been. For the rest of us, please read on.
Everyone must register for the Forums.
Forums determine your rank in the guild not your game status. Since we are on all platforms and computer games realistically there is not another fair way to create and maintain ranks.
Postings on Forums should actually be given thought. We realize that some posts will be short and concise. Think about what you are posting and consider moving it to a Private Message conversation or use the shoutbox, otherwise Posts that continue in this fashion will be deleted, and may cost you in rank. Just think about what you have to say and make sure it is not off topic.
If you are the type that does not enjoy conversating on the forums, that does not matter. If you do not want a rank then so be it. But, you must register properly, and modify your profile as detailed as possible when it comes to game account names, etc.. Also, you would at the very minimum be required to log in at least 1 time a week, and click each "Ranking Site" that is located below the "Games We Play". They scroll up and are located on the left side of the page. This not only insures us good ranking on top clan sites, but it also brings in "traffic" potential members. So, please at least the very minimum is required by each member.
Those of you that conversate and participate will have ranking within the clan, and will be able to state ideas or complaints on the clan / site. If you do not participate at least once a week "with exceptions" you will not have the right to complain about how the clan is run, since you are not participating in anything other than games.
Tournaments are for active, participating members. Wars are for anyone. This is a rule! Participating includes conversating on the site, and or logging in at least once a week.
Do Not Cheat. You may find it ironic that a clan called SiN would have this as a rule but we mean it. Some online game companies have decided that clans and guilds may be held responsible for the actions of their members. If you cheat it reflects on all of our members. It may cost us ladder rankings or even get all members banned from certain games. Again with emphasis - DO NOT CHEAT.
The Golden Rule. Do unto other as you would have done unto you. Examples are: name calling, bashing, threatening, harassing. Some of these may carry a lesser offense than others, some may get you banned, but realistically none of these things are really fun or fair so remember your vow to SiN.
If you find yourself the target of any of these offenses please take the time to tell a member from the officers group via Private Message on the boards or even in game.
DO NOT place these concerns in the forums. If you post to the forum you will be reprimanded and the thread will be locked or deleted.
Don’t team kill. First of all it destroys the trust we have for one another as a clan. If team killing behavior persists then SiN will consider that behavior as your resignation from your good standing in the clan and you will be removed from the clan.
Maintain a good attitude even in defeat. First off it is a game, some will be won and some will be lost. Savor the victories and learn from the defeats. If you are paying attention you will see areas that can be improved upon and perhaps a new strategy you can share on the forums. Oh yeah rank is determined on the website and now from that defeat came your brilliant new strategy that you posted gaining you ranking in the clan-GRATS you lucky SiNner!
Certain games require a great level of commitment. Some require constant raiding while others may have team practices. Your clan is counting on you to fulfill your commitment to them. If you cannot then contact an officer and let them know, at the very least post to the forum for your game.
So to recap.
